You have a much better viewing area in your backyard than I do, and an excellent vantage spot for taking photos. I’ve always been envious of your bluebird pictures. I love how your robin is trying to take the clothesline! They *are* determined. Imagine what we’d do if we had half their determination!

Why do they put this candy out so early? They must know the women who buy it eat it all beforehand! I’ve actually had to cut myself off from jellybeans.

We bought some chocolate early in preparation for Easter Sunday. I am ashamed to admit that I ate half of it all by myself. Will have to buy some more.

I’ve got some sad bird stories, too. I’m almost afraid to keep this journal because it might have a bad ending. But I’m going to be like the robins and keep going.

Are your girls going to be dressed up? I love Easter dresses on little girls. Patent leather shoes, white gloves, a little hat. Lord, I’m dating myself. Best of all I loved the egg hunt. I loved dyeing the eggs and putting them in the cheap wax Easter grass we used to have. And I loved loved loved getting a new stuffed bunny.

As for grownup me, I’m scarfing down Russell Stover chocolate eggs–strawberry, raspberry whip, caramel, marshmallow caramel, maple cream, vanilla, and coconut. I’ve been buying them since *February!*

Oh, me, too! When I dyed Easter eggs, I dipped and dipped and dipped until I had the shade of robin’s egg blue. Happy Almost Easter!

Well, you’ll have to stay tuned. But this blog series will be about much more than a robin, I think. It’s keeping me awake at night!
